A commercial management software adapted to the yachting industry
The Yakabiz software was born in 2018. Intended for salespeople and their managers, it is a lead tracking tool or "lead management" according to the English term in use. "The initial objective was to be able to make statistics in the automotive industry, because the variable margin is calculated according to the follow-up of leads. Today our software is used for 90% in the motorhome and car industry, but it would be very suitable for boat dealers, importers, brokers and even shipyards. Many prospects are lost because there is no real follow-up with reminders" says David Boehm, Yakabiz sales manager, who himself has worked in car dealerships and boat sales at Canet Boat Plaisance for 10 years.
Second-hand boats, rental... revised modules for boating
The basis of the Yakabiz offer is based on the application developed for the automotive industry, available on PC, but also on tablet and smartphone. It includes lead management, sales volume monitoring and salesperson statistics. With its own call center in Perpignan, the company also offers telephone campaigns. "For example, prior to boat shows, our teams can schedule sales meetings directly in the application," says David Boehm.
In addition, the team, which includes 6 in-house programmers, has worked on adapting the tools to the nautical industry. For the sale of used boats and trade-ins, Yakabiz retrieves data from existing internet platforms. Through expertise sheets, including photos, the salesman can make his estimates by managing the capital gains or losses related to the options. "And this avoids surprises if the equipment has been dismantled in the meantime at the time of the sale" underlines the sales manager.
Yakabiz has also worked on the boat rental management module. The offer integrates a fully digital management of contracts, signed electronically, linked to the planning of boats. "It can also be a tool for managing demonstration boats for an importer via loan vouchers. He can follow the leads of his different agents and dealers and their transformation" concludes David Boehm
