JEC Connect: The digital version of the composite trade fair

The Ultimate Boat Company participates in the JEC Innovation Awards for its DANU material

In the absence of a physical edition in 2021, JEC World, the global meeting place for the composite industry, will be held digitally on June 1 and 2, 2021. More details on the program and the presence of the marine industry.

1st digital edition of the world composite exhibition

Like many international trade shows, JEC World, the global meeting place for the composites industry, could not be held in 2020 and 2021. In anticipation of the 2022 edition, scheduled for March 8-10, organizers have launched their 1st alternative digital event, called JEC Composites Connect. It will take place on June 1 and 2, 2021. Open from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Paris time, the virtual trade show will host more than 1,000 companies in the composite industry from 46 countries on its platform, from producers of raw materials, fibers, resins or cores, to parts manufacturers, operators, and tooling suppliers. The organizers anticipate more than 65 product launches at the event.

Conferences and awards

In addition to online meetings with prospects through scheduled appointments, JEC Composites Connect has a program of conferences, roundtables and competitions similar to the physical JEC World show. The Composites Challenge, whose presentations are scheduled for June 2 at noon, will reward one of the 10 young university researchers presenting their research topics. The Startup Booster, whose presentations are scheduled for June 1 between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. and between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m., will reward one of the 20 young finalist companies. Finally, the JEC Innovation Awards, an institution since its creation in 2016, will highlight technological innovations in different sectors. In the nautical and maritime field, we can note in these competitions the presence of Ultimate Boat Company for its "sustainable" material named DANU or the start-up Yuyo and its surfboards using basalt fibers and bio-sourced plant-based resins. The German company Green Boats applies its know-how to wind turbine nacelles.
