The Italian Sea Group to go public
Yacht building and refit specialist The Italian Sea Group is to list its shares on the Milan Stock Exchange. The Tuscan shipyard, which owns the Tecnomar and Admiral brands, is undergoing the usual checks before being listed on the market.
Brunswick expands its research center
Brunswick Group has announced the expansion of its i-Jet Innovation Lab. The site, which hosts part of the research activities of the American leader in recreational boating on the campus of the University of Illinois, will triple its surface area on July 1, 2021. It will support the group's strategy to develop autonomous boats and electric motors for the boating industry.
Winners of the NINA and Nautihub innovation competition
The organizers of the innovation competition for the boating and yachting industry in Pays de la Loire, NINA and Nautihub, have announced the winners of the operation:
- Soliège for its sprayed cork coverings
- Birdyfish for its hydrofoil dinghy
- Monthabor for its harbour drone
- CtoSea for its anti-pollution device
Applications for the management of Lab'Ocean
The Compagnie des Ports du Morbihan has launched a call for applications for the authorization to occupy the public domain for the operation of Lab'Océan, future business center included in the renovation projects and development of the port of La Trinité sur Mer.

Acqua Ecologie, a company specializing in water treatment, particularly in ports with its BioBarrier device, has been named winner of the Ocean 2021 Innovation Awards, sponsored by Banque Populaire Grand Ouest.
Challenge Ocean expands its fleet of boats
The Lorient-based yacht charter company Challenge Ocean has acquired a new prestigious racing yacht. It has announced the acquisition of the Volvo 60 Libertalia, which participated in the round-the-world race with stopovers under the name of Djuice Dragons, with Thomas Coville and Jean-Yves Bernot on board.
