Evo Yachts expands its Neapolitan factory
The company Blu Emme Yachts, which builds in Naples the boats of the Evo yachts brand, has finalized in early 2021 important industrial investments. The company, founded in 2013 and managed by the Mercuri brothers, inaugurated in the 1st weeks of the year the expansion of its production plant. The workshop area has increased by more than 100%, from 1,500 m² to 4,000 m². A new paint booth was put into operation, as well as an area dedicated to after-sales service.
Growth in sales and boat lengths
The southern Italian shipyard has made a name for itself with its telescopic bulwark concept that allows the rear cockpit to be enlarged at anchor. Although it has been impacted like all the players by the confinements linked to the pandemic, the builder is reporting 300% growth in sales for fiscal year 2020, and has delivered seven boats during the year.
To continue this evolution, Evo Yachts is betting on new models and the expansion of its range towards larger units. The shipyard plans to launch the Velar 78, a new 24-meter motorboat that will become the flagship model.
"We are adapting to new needs, which means that on the one hand we are finding new ways to interact with customers, studying new solutions with them to ensure that they have a complete choice and purchase experience, and on the other hand we are investing heavily in infrastructure, equipment and human resources to have an even more efficient management of construction processes and control procedures," summarizes Maurpo Cozzani, Evo Yachts sales manager.
