To every misfortune something is good. If the proverb is true, the existence of the next boat of the Bielle distillery, established in Marie-Galante (Guadeloupe) will be great. And that of its crew will be just as great. After the shipwreck of the during a voyage to Marseille in 2020, the rum factory relaunches and pursues the project of Tres Hombres cargo ship under sail. Rum is not perfected in a day, no need to transport it too fast.
Age-old tradition
Founded in 1769, when the Bielle family owned a coffee plantation, the company has since cultivated a centuries-old traditional approach to producing its beverage. It produces 495,000 liters of rum, white, old and liqueur annually.
Sailing professional
To continue to perpetuate the links between the sea and rum, the distillery is currently recruiting the captain of its next boat. It needs a professional, English speaking and able to maneuver it. The natural candidate will have at least the Brevet Professionnel Capitaine 200 voile, will feel capable of leading a crew and will be able to take in hand both the navigation ( coastal and offshore ) as well as the maintenance, in autonomy, of Samsara. A specialist in old sailing rigs would be the ideal candidate.
