VPLP Design: The founders of the naval architecture firm go off watch

Marc Van Peteghem and Vincent Lauriot Prévost sell the management of their naval architecture firm. They have announced a new governance led by 4 employees.

Transmission within VPLP Design

Knowing how to anticipate is a key element of marine sense. The two naval architects Marc Van Peteghem and Vincent Lauriot Prévost also apply this rule to the management of the VPLP firm. They have chosen to organise the transfer of the company they founded in 1983, which has become a reference in monohull and multihull sailing and ocean racing. 4 experienced employees of the firm will share the governance roles of the company. Simon Watin, who returned in 2020 to VPLP where he started in 2008 with a 6-year interlude at Artemis Racing, will take over the presidency of the company. An executive committee composed of Mathias Maurios, Quentin Lucet and Xavier Guisnel completes the governance of VPLP.

However, the founders remain on board to ensure the transition. "VPLP design is our most beautiful boat. We pass on to its crew a know-how, a history, but also values of listening, creativity, rigour and kindness. We will remain at the side of the new managers to ensure continuity and a smooth transmission" they reassure.

"VPLP design is the most beautiful agency and a magnificent tool for creation and innovation. The new management team from its ranks will be eager to continue the great work accomplished by Marc and Vincent, who will remain at our side and continue to give us the benefit of their precious advice," adds the new president.
