Iguana Yachts launches amphibious fishing boat

Normandy-based amphibious boat specialist Iguana Yachts has announced the launch of its first model designed for offshore fishing. The X-Fisher will measure 30 feet and will be able to accommodate 12 people. The manufacturer has announced a top speed of 48 knots on water and 7 km/h on land with its tracks.

Mercury Marine expands its joystick offering

Mercury Marine's EMEA division has announced the extension of the joystick steering system to all 3.4L V-6 outboards in its range equipped with DTS (Digital Throttle and Shift).Designed in partnership with Dometic, it is available for all power ratings: 175HP, 200HP and 225HP. It will be distributed from February 2021.

Volvo opens a branch dedicated to batteries and electric transport

The Volvo Group has announced the creation of a business unit called Volvo Energy. Its mission will be to work on batteries throughout their life cycle, including their reuse. It will also focus on recharging infrastructure for electric vehicles. The Volvo Penta subsidiary, which is in charge of yachting applications, has been working for several years on electric and hybrid boat engines, notably through a prototype catamaran with Fountaine-Pajot.

Lippert Components becomes Lippert

The American equipment manufacturer Lippert Components, which is active in the marine sector, notably through the acquisition of Lewmar and other European suppliers, is simplifying its name. It is now called Lippert.

Windelo continues its development

The Windelo shipyard, created in 2019, announces the sale of its 3rd catamaran. This Windelo 54 Yachting will join the APACA Catamaran company in rental management.
