New Grand Soleil distributor
The Italian shipyard Del Pardo has a new distributor on the French Riviera. Firros Yachts, based in Cannes, now represents Grand Soleil yachts in the Cannes basin.
Investment at Discovery Shipyard
The British shipyard Discovery Shipyard, taken over in December 2019 by Werner Schaebele, has announced major investments for 2021. The owner will inject £2 million to strengthen the capital and continue the development of models in its Discovery Yachts and Southerly Yachts ranges, including the Bluewater 50 catamaran.
A single owner for Sillinger
The semi-rigid vehicle manufacturer Sillinger is once again entirely under the Marck Group's flag. Renamed Marck & Balsan since January 2021, the textile specialist has regained 100% of the capital of the shipyard located in Mer.
Williams Jet Tender invests in its industrial tool
The specialist in waterjet-powered yacht tenders Williams Jet Tenders has announced the expansion of its production plant. The £1 million investment and the additional 500 m² of moulding space should enable it to produce more than 1,000 boats per year.
Nimbus opens its capital
The Swedish group Nimbus, the leader of the pleasure boat brands Alukin, Aquador, Bella, Falcon, Flipper, Nimbus and Parragon Yachts, will open its capital. It has announced its intention to enter the markets with the issue of shares for SEK 200 million (approximately '19.8 million).
EBI integrates 2 new members
The European Boating Industry Association (EBI) has announced the inclusion as supporting members of the certification company EMCI Register and the marina association TransEurope Marinas.
