WeFalco won the Nautic 2019 Innovation Competition for its connected marina sensors

Due to the health crisis, the Nautic 2020 Innovation Contest will finally take place online. More details for the candidates and precision on the commitments of a competition that bets on the transition of nautism and its resilience.

A dematerialized springboard for the inventors of the yachting of the future

The French Nautical Industries Federation and its subsidiary in charge of organizing the Paris Boat Show have had to abandon the December 2020 edition of the show. In support of the industry, the yachting industry association confirmed in early January the creation of Virtual Nautic, a virtual boat show, on March 12 and 13, 2021. The organizers also announced that this digital event would host the innovation competition, held since 2018 at the Nautic. The event will continue, under new modalities, its goal of giving a showcase to inventions that outline the future of the yachting market. The final of the competition will take place on Saturday, March 13, 2021 on the Virtual Nautic auditorium stage, the digital transposition of the nautical scene. "This success has allowed us to raise Falco's profile and, still several months later, is helping to open doors in our market," said Elsa Nicol, president of Wattson Elements, the 2019 winner in the Services category for its offerings related to the connected marina.

Focus on the transition of the marine sector

The organizers have focused this particular edition on environmental aspects and the renewal of boaters. "Taking into account the new challenges brought about by the health crisis will also be an asset," says the Nautical Industries Federation. The project holders, whether it is a physical product or a service, must submit their applications before February 14, 2021. The winner will receive a stand at the 2021 edition of the Nautic.
