Stable results for Osculati
The Italian boating equipment distributor Osculati has presented its results for the year 2020. Despite the crisis related to Covid-19, the group announces a turnover of 71 Meuros, slightly down from 2019 (71 Meuros). The number of employees increased from 130 to 137 between September 2019 and 2020.
Furuno France is moving
Electronics supplier Furuno has moved its French headquarters. Remaining in Mérignac, on the outskirts of Bordeaux, the company moved in early September to larger premises with office space, as well as a larger logistics warehouse and technical workshop.
Charging stations for electric boats on the Seine
Haropa, manager of the commercial ports on the Seine, and Voies Navigables de France (VNF) have announced an investment program for 78 charging stations with 16A, 32A and 63A sockets along the river. The 9.24 million euro investment project should encourage boaters and professionals to switch to electric boats on the Seine.
Cancellation of the Dubai Boat Show
Already postponed from spring to fall, the Dubai Boat Show 2020, scheduled for November 24-28, has finally been cancelled. The next edition of the UAE Boat Show will normally be held from March 9 to 13, 2021.
Concentration in deck fittings in Scandinavia
Three of the leading companies in the distribution of marine hardware and equipment in Scandinavia have announced their merger to create the largest player in the region. Sweden's Nautec AB, Norway's Flak AS and Denmark's Palby Marine A/S have announced that they will merge into the Nautec holding company, while keeping their names.
New Dufour dealer in Australia
Dufour has appointed a new exclusive dealer for its yachts in Australia. The Yacht Sales company will represent the boats of the shipyard from La Rochelle, while it already held the Fountaine-Pajot card.
