A software designed for day boat renters
Nautic Manager is born in the wake of the boat rental website Samboat. It offers professional charter companies a commercial tool for the management of their fleet. "We are a reservation software. We see ourselves a bit like the Fork of the boat. Software such as SEDNA or MMK are adapted to chartering, but there are few tools like us for managing a fleet of day charter boats" explains Laurent Calando, founder of the company.
"We have to be responsive to our customers because the season takes place over 2 months of intense activity. Thanks to the software, we estimate a time saving of around 20%, especially on administrative tasks" adds Raphaël Barouk, Nautic Manager's customer manager. In addition to the white label software, Nautic Manager provides hosting and servers robust enough to absorb a large amount of traffic during the season.
The health crisis, accelerating Nautic Manager's development
The constraints imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic proved positive for the company. The dematerialized contract particularly appealed to boat rental companies. "Customers often called because they had heard about the dematerialized contract. It's a practical solution to the problems of pen and disinfection by doing everything at once on the smartphone," explains Raphaël Barouk.
The 2020 season, which is particularly intense for dayboat rentals, has allowed us to test the robustness of the product. "Taking stock with our customers, their turnover increased by 55% this summer. The software, with real-time visibility of boat availability and fully automatic booking, without manual approval from the charter company, played its role well in July and August, when demand was at its highest," says the sales representative.
After a summer of testing in 2019, the year 2020 saw the commercial deployment of Nautic Manager. The brand boasts some forty rental companies. "This ranges from fleets of 2 to 3 boats up to 25-30. In total, there are 400 boats. We are focusing on a French clientele, which today is the most mature market for this" indicates Raphaël Barouk
