Agreement between Click&Boat and Mercury Marine
The French branch of the engine manufacturer Mercury Marine has signed a partnership agreement with the yacht charter website Click&Boat. The 2 companies wish to "shape together the yachting of tomorrow and meet the new expectations of yachtsmen".
Customer benefits for private renters
The most visible consequence of the partnership will be the granting of commercial advantages for the users of the Click&Boat platform. Owners of rental boats will benefit from special offers at Mercury Marine on products from the American engine manufacturer such as the VesselView Mobile engine tracking application, the Active Trim boat trim management system or the 1st Mate connected rescue tool.
Sharing knowledge of boaters
The strategic objective for both companies lies mainly in the sharing of information. Beyond the presence on social networks claimed by Mercury Marine, the latter will be able to acquire with this agreement qualified information on yachting practices. The brand is also offering itself a prospect base among boat owners and is working on its brand image among renters, potential future buyers. "The idea is to make traditional and digital work together to create value. We want to have a common reflection on the yachting of tomorrow" explains Edouard Gorioux, co-founder of Click&Boat. "Our community with over 400,000 users in more than 50 countries allows us to be a good ear for Mercury to understand the new uses of boating. This knowledge of customers allows us to think together about how to adapt products and develop the offer for boaters".
The link with Mercury Marine will also provide physical support to Click&Boat, through the network of representatives of the Brunswick Group brand. 200 marine mechanics agents and dealers offer Mercuury outboard motors on the French coast and inland waterways.
