Hardware: BigShip stores open and take over

The BigShip chain of boat stores has announced several changes in its network. The company Carantec Espace Loisirs headed by Sébastien Béchu, owner of the Jeanneau Carantec Nautic and Brest Nautic dealerships, has bought BigShip Morlaix when its manager retires. It will also open the 42nd store of the chain in Brest.

The Jaudy shipyard, in Tréguier, also joined the BigShip brand. It wishes to revitalize its activity of selling deck equipment.

Fischer Panda obtains NMEA 2000 certification

Recreational generator manufacturer Fischer Panda has announced NMEA 2000 certification for its xSeries and iSeries. Communication with the rest of the equipment on board the boat will be through a certified NMEA adapter.

Extended METS Trade registration

The French Nautical Industries Federation (FIN), which has taken over the management of the French pavilion for the METS Trade international yachting equipment show, has announced the extension of the registration period until May 31, 2020. Registration is open to all companies with an establishment in France, whether or not they are members of the FIN.

Cosmétiboat opens a boat cleaning agency

Cosméticar, the car cleaning specialist, has begun an opening to the boating market in 2019. Given the success of the boat preparation and cleaning services offered by its franchised agencies, the network has decided to open its first agency entirely dedicated to boating, Cosmétiboat Riviera, on the French Riviera.
