Matthias de Christen takes over as Chief Executive Officer of the Incidence Group

Appointments, departures, changes of position... There has been movement in the Incidence Group, Yanmar Marine, Vetus, Intermer, Interdist, Seven Marine, X-Shore.

New Managing Director for Incidence Group

The Incidence Group, which includes Incidence Sails and Incidence Technologie, the manufacturer and developer of materials for Incidence Sails, has a new Managing Director. Matthias de Christen succeeds Eric Ohlmann, who will head the group from November 2016 to October 2019. An engineer by training, the new manager has held positions of responsibility in various companies in the paper and cardboard packaging sector.

Yanmar changes President for its Marine Division

Engine manufacturer Yanmar appoints new head of its marine business. Taro Kitamura replaces Shiori Nagata as Chairman of Yanmar Marine International, who has been promoted to other responsibilities within the Japanese group. Taro Kitamura, who has been with the company for 30 years, will also take charge of Yanmar's Recreational Marine Business Unit, which is also active in boat building, beyond the engine business.

Marcel Borsboom extends his functions beyond Vetus

Marcel Borsboom, Vetus's Chief Operating Officer since 2009, becomes Director of the General Onboard Systems Division of Yanmar Marine International. Under his responsibility, he takes over the Flexofold and Smartgyro stabilizer companies, recently acquired.

Sylvain Gondry joins Interdist

Sylvain Gondry is leaving the Intermer plant of the Alliance Marine group to join Interdist, where he had already worked as sales manager between 2011 and 2014. He takes over the commercial responsibility of the South-East zone and the superyacht market for the nautical equipment distributor based in Saint-Malo.

The founders of Seven Marine leave the company

Eric and Brian Davis, co-founders of the company with their father Rick, leave the high-powered outboard motor manufacturer Seven Marine. The latter remains as an advisor to Volvo Penta, owner of Seven Marine since 2017.

X-Shore changes direction

The Swedish shipyard X-Shore, which has made a name for itself with its electric boats equipped with stepped hulls with a cutting-edge design, is reorganising to accelerate its development. Following the last fundraising campaign, founder Konrad Bergström is now only President. Jenny Keisu, consultant in sustainable development, takes over the general management while Oscar Fors, former president of Battery Systems, becomes chief operating officer.
