Nautic Innovation Competition
After a naval architecture competition to design the boat of the future in 2018, the organizers of the Nautic extended their 2019 competition to a national trophy for nautical innovation. 5 companies were awarded:
- Prize for innovation in services: Falco for its connected port management system
- Product Innovation Award : Temo for its portable electric thruster
3 favorites were awarded to the mooring boom designed by OTEC, the mooring modules developed by Seaflotech, and BioBarrier® MarineMBR, an on-board wastewater recycling system.
Electric boat of the year
For its 3rd edition, the Association Française du Bateau Electrique (AFBE) has awarded several projects during the election of the 2019 Bateau Electrique.
Le Bagou 7.0, 7.35 m long electric catamaran built in plywood received the 2019 Electric Boat of the Year Award. Equipped with 2 Torqeedo electric motors of 10 kW, it boasts a range of 6 hours at 13 km/h.
The Overboat, t-foil catamaran developed by the start-up Neocean obtained the jury's favorite. 3.12 m long and equipped with a 4.5 kW electric motor, it can reach a top speed of 15 knots.
Yacht Club of the Year
The best 2019 sailing clubs have been awarded by the French Sailing Federation.
The title of best French Sailing School of the year 2019 was awarded to the Cercle de la Voile d'Arcachon for its actions for the promotion and practice of sailing for the motor disabled public.
The Société Nautique de La Trinité-sur-Mer received the 2019 Club Competition of the Year award for the importance of its regatta and offshore racing calendar.
Boat of the Year
Our colleagues from Voile Magazine and MoteurBoat have also named their boats of the year. The sailboat of the year 2019 is awarded to the rochelais shipyard Fora Marine for the new RM 11.80 . The 2019 Motorboat of the Year is awarded to the Sea Ray 230 Sun Sport.
