Opening up to boating
euros through this limited series, Zeppelin euros builder of semi-rigid made in France euros seeks to propose a boat intended for the pleasure, as explained to us François Penlae, director of the site, based in Lude, in the Sarthe.
"We realized that Zeppelin had a very good image for custom and professional boats, but had more difficulty communicating on the possible adaptation to pleasure boating, to family leisure. After reflection, we decided to propose a boat for the heart of the range, for a family of four people. This RIB will be fully equipped and delivered "turnkey." This is an opportunity for us to attract customers to the Zeppelin dealerships who are not used to coming to Zeppelin, because the boats are too tailor-made."
A break with customization
Once the decision to launch a limited series was made, it was necessary to find the right model, to propose the best possible quality-price ratio. Zeppelin thus based its offer on the needs of a family of 4 people, 2 parents and 2 children.
"Once we had the idea of this limited series, we focused on getting the best price for this type of 6.10m boat. We worked a lot on the equipment needed for a 4-person family boat. With this model, we are totally breaking with the customization, which is our way of working. If customers want a boat inspired by this one, but with some differences, we will use our Zeppelin design methods. But it will no longer be limited edition and the price will be significantly different."
It is the first time that the French manufacturer, specialist of the made-to-measure develops a project "turn-key". For the motorization, Zeppelin signed a partnership with Suzuki.
A core product
To propose the best quality/price ratio in the range, Zeppelin chose the V20pro and the layout is fixed. Two or three options can nevertheless be added.
With this family model euros the Zeppelin Vitamin euros the manufacturer will now be able to offer a product with an interesting price against the competition, but with the recognized quality of Zeppelin. "Our boats are made in France, in our factory in Lude (Sarthe) and the technical elements are the same as the rest of the range. They are proven equipments on which we have changed the colors. We have put in rather top-of-the-range equipment and we have been careful not to go down-market. The proposed hull is the same as the one used by the SNSM or the firemen. We have only adapted our experience from the professional world to the yachting world".
