A Frenchman at the head of the European Boating Industry
Jean-Pierre Goudant of France has been elected President of the European Boating Industry (EBI), the European federation of the nautical industries. Representative and vice-president of FIN, he was previously treasurer of EBI and succeeds the Italian Piero Formenti. Jean-Paul Chapeleau, CEO of Jeanneau, has taken over as head of EBI's Executive Committee.
New sales manager at Iguana Yachts
The amphibious pleasure boat specialist, Iguana Yachts, based in Caen, structures its team. Bastien Bonnet joins the company as Vice President in charge of Sales and Marketing. The young man previously served as international sales manager for the American powerboat brand Chris Craft for 7 years, as well as for Sealine International.
Dream Yacht Charter strengthens its board of directors
The leading yacht charter company Dream Yacht Charter is expanding its board of directors and structuring its organisational structure. Salvatore Serio, former CEO of Dufour Yachts, who joined the Board of Directors in November 2018, takes up the position of Deputy Managing Director of the group. Catherine Spindler, coming from the world of marketing in cosmetics and online sales, joins the board as an independent director.
Sunseeker appoints new CEO
Italian Andrea Frabetti takes over as head of British motor boat builder Sunseeker after Christian Marti's resignation. Having arrived 1 year ago as technical director, the new manager worked for 25 years within the Ferretti group.
A woman at the head of the federation of boat shows
IFBSO, the International Federation of Boat Show Organizers, is changing its leadership. Jennifer Thompson, is the first president of the institution, which brings together many boat shows around the world, including the Grand Pavois and the Cannes Yachting Festival in France. She is also Vice President of Exhibitions for the American union NMMA.
