The Kerboat Services network is expanding
Sébastien David's face has become familiar to boat show regulars. With his teams, the founder of Kerboat Services is busy before the opening to clean the boats presented. But this is only part of the brand's development, founded in 2015 by the former business IT employee. "I myself manage the Brest area in Les Sables d'Olonne, for which I have 3 permanent employees and regular support staff. The network has 8 other licensed branded agencies that cover the coast from Le Havre to the Spanish border and the entire area from Marseille to Italy. The last agency for the Basque Country has just opened," explains Sébastien David.

Offer a competitive boat cleaning service
After a first experience with hull cleaning robots, Sébastien David had clearly identified the boating needs of a specialized cleaning service by launching Kerboat Services. "The initiating idea is to professionalize this environment. Before, the sites cleaned themselves, but it was difficult to sell, because of their structural loads. We are responding to a real need. Smaller maintenance projects are more proactive and highlight the partnership with Kerboat by assuring the yachtsman that the cleaning is done by a specialist and not a site technician," illustrates the founder.
A varied market with few players
Kerboat is one of the first structured offers on a boat cleaning market occupied by self-employed people, often self-employed and sometimes undeclared. The company can thus attract a wide range of customers. On the historical agency, Sébastien David works 66% with professionals. Among them, small maintenance sites and brokers are the most numerous. New boat builders also call on him for trade shows and yard outings. Rental companies in the Mediterranean also work with local agencies.

Collaborative approach
Kerboat Services intends to continue its development. "The idea today is to strengthen the network by filling in the gaps in the Mediterranean, working on professional boats and developing a presence at boat shows, which are a means of promoting the Kerboat Services approach. In addition, these are moments of exchange between the members of the network who all work in a collaborative logic where I don't want Kerboat Services to be too intrusive," concludes Sébastien David
