MedYacht acquires the Repco Marine shipyard
The MedYacht group states that it has acquired the Repco Marine shipyard in Grimaud in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Already based in Saint-Tropez, the Marines de Cogolin and Marseille, the company headed by Alexandre Vernazza is strengthening its presence in the Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur region. The transaction brings the number of employees to 22.
Offer more services to boaters
MedYacht already had a shipyard on its Marseille site for small maintenance on 30 boats and a capacity of 70 wintering units in Saint-Tropez. "With the 130 boats in maintenance and wintering at Repco Marine, we are moving to a total capacity of 200 boats in maintenance, with a surface area of 6,000 m² covered and 10,000 m² of land. This allows us to strengthen our maintenance and service capabilities with facilities for our customers. A maintenance and repair service for medium-sized yachts and yachts is coming this summer," explains Alexandre Vernazza.
MedYacht rental fleet
From boat sales to rentals
The MedYacht group offers a wide range of services in the nautical sector. It has its own range of motor boats, manufactured under licence by the Polish shipyard Galeon. The Med52, designed by Gilles Vaton, with the participation of Rivoyre Ingénierie for the structure, has already sold 19 units. The range will be renewed at Boot 2020 with the presentation of the Med42 designed by Enrico Gobbi. "Our objective for this model is to sell about ten boats per year," says Alexandre Vernazza.

MedYacht is the importer in France of Italian semi-rigid boats built in Sardinia Sea Water. The group is also the concessionaire of a large portfolio of motor boat brands with Galeon, Al Dhaen, Brig and Joker Boat.
MedYacht also has its own fleet of around twenty boats and owners' units, bringing its boat rental offer to around 30 units from 8 to 30 metres. The group also offers its own 20 berths for rent and with a management and rental service. The service activity accounts for 40% of its turnover.
Willingness to grow
MedYacht wishes to continue its development on the Mediterranean coast. "We are looking for opportunities on the 06 to complete our establishment," confirms Alexandre Vernazza.
