Bathô, 1st winner of the NINA
The young company Bathô which recovers used pleasure boats to give them a second life ashore, won the 1st prize in the Nina competition ( Nautical Innovation & Novelty Awards ) for the Pays de la Loire region. She thus qualified for the final at the Nautic 2018. The other companies awarded are Bird-e Marine, Goiot Systems, SeawitLab and Splashelec.
New models at Suzuki Marine
The Japanese brand Suzuki announced the launch of 2 new outboard engines at the Genoa Boat Show. These are the DF-175A and DF-150A models. They use a 2.9 litre in-line 4-cylinder engine block. The marine equipment manufacturer also presented multi-function screens from 7 to 16 inches.
Yanmar back in the race
The Japanese engine manufacturer Yanmar has announced the rebirth of the Yanmar Racing team. The brand joins skipper Peter Gilmour on the Dragon sport keelboat class regatta circuit.
New German dealer for Dufour Yachts
The rock yacht builder Dufour Yachts is expanding its network in Germany. Yacht Agentur Josef Meltl becomes dealer of the brand, an important change for one of the largest exclusive dealers of the German yard Bavaria, in a difficult situation.
Inmarsat partners with Lagoon catamarans
The satellite communication leader Inmarsat has signed a partnership with the catamaran brand Lagoon. Owners of multihulls from the yard will be able to benefit from the Fleet One offer on new and retro-fit boats.
Benetti, construction site of the year
The Italian motoryacht Azimut Benetti won the shipyard of the year award at the World Yacht Trophies, in conjunction with the Cannes 2018 boat show.
