1st outboard Seven Marine CE certified
The American manufacturer of high-power outboard engines Seven Marine has obtained its first CE certification. It carries on its most powerful model, a outboard of 627 horses. After the necessary tests, in particular on pollutant emissions and safety, it is now marketable in Europe. Announced for the end of the year during the Cannes 2017 exhibition, the visa will have lasted longer than expected. The process is still underway for the other two engines in the range, offering respectively powers of 527CV and 577 CV. Certification is expected in the coming months according to the manufacturer.
Opening to the European market

"Since the first exhibition of our outboard engines in Europe in 2016, and following our takeover by Volvo Penta last year, European boat builders have shown great interest in our outboards The appeal of the American brand to the European market will be reflected in its strong presence at the autumn boat shows. Pleasure boats powered by Seven Marine will be present in September at the Cannes Yachting Festival, the Genoa Boat Show and the Monaco Yacht Show.
The construction of a distributor network is not yet mentioned by the American company. It should nevertheless be able to rely on synergies with Volvo Penta, anxious to follow the evolution of yachting towards more outboard engines.
