"Ports Nautisme et Littoral" drop anchor in Brest

10th edition of the Ports Nautisme and Littoral meetings

The 11th edition of the national meetings "Ports, Nautism and Littoral" will be held in Brest on 28 and 29 March 2018. On the menu: conferences, workshops and meetings bringing together professionals from the world of ports and coastal management.

An 11th Breton edition

The"Ports, Nautical and Coastal" Meetings do not want to favour any facade, Atlantic or Mediterranean. After the Acropolis in Nice in 2017, it is at the Quartz de Brest, at the tip of Brittany, that the meeting of port and yachting professionals is taking place. This conference, created in 2006, gathers every year the private and public actors of the port world in order to debate the evolutions of the sector. Among the many partners of the event, we can note the presence of all the main associations of managers of marinas, as well as the National Association of Coastal Elected Officials.

A varied program

The workshops and conferences proposed to the elected representatives and participating professionals are articulated around three courses: Port, Nautism and Littoral. The opening plenary session will deal with the optimisation of port management following the transfer of skills, while the closing session will focus on the theme"Nautism, a source of job creation and a lever for the attractiveness of the territory". The various workshops will focus on subjects as varied as the circular economy of a port, collaborative yachting, the preservation of the quality of coastal waters, certification, the use of concrete in port civil engineering or the environmental and social impacts of dredging.

A visit to the marinas of Brest is also on the programme.
