3rd edition of the maritime trades meeting
Maritime Employment Week celebrates its 3rd edition. The event, created by the Pole Emploi, aims to promote all trades related to the sea, from jobs on board to service through the construction of boats. The public agency partnered for the occasion with training organizations, associations and companies in the sector.
Over 200 events
The dedicated website Semaine-emploi-maritime.fr, created for the occasion, lists over 200 events spread mainly along the coast, but also in the Paris region. The proposals are varied, ranging from open doors at training centres and vocational schools to job dating, including thematic meetings with professionals in job centre agencies or company visits. An acculturation session for job centre advisers to seafaring professions is also organised.
All aspects of boating and boating
Among the company visits, several boatyards of different sizes, from IDB Marine to Bénéteau via Privilège Marine, open their doors, but also holiday centres and nautical bases.
Candidates for the nautical professions can also visit the Eric Tabarly professional high school in Les Sables d'Olonne or the AFPA technical centre in Equeurdreville.
More atypical but essential themes will be addressed, such as the place of women in the nautical professions in Marseille or the surf professions in Hossegor.
