5th edition of the Pro&Mer exhibition
The Pro&Mer exhibition celebrates its 5th anniversary in 2018. After 4 years in Brest, the event will be held this year at Quai 9 in Lanester in Morbihan, on March 15, 2018. Organized by Bretagne Pole Naval, it brings together companies and training schools in the marine sector with people wishing to join the sector. For the nautical industry, we can note among the partners of the event Lorient Grand Large.
More than 40 companies
The number of exhibitors should exceed 40 in 2018. In addition to companies from the civil and military naval sectors, the nautical industry will be present through the Mer Forte design office, the CDK Technologies shipyard or the Chantier de Bretagne Sud shipyard. The recruitment agency Randstad Technologies will represent the companies CNB of the Bénéteau group and the catamaran builder Fountaine-Pajot. Equipment manufacturers such as SEIMI or SLCE watermakers are announced.
Training in the spotlight
The training courses are also presented on the show. The AFPA will propose in particular its training of racing boat preparer, while the Nautical Institute of Brittany (INB) will show the panel of its courses for the nautical industry.
"We will also have a space to attract trades, with models to better show the activity and give desire to candidates," explains Lise Hermite, in charge of the Pro&Mer exhibition within Bretagne Pole Naval.
1200 job offers in 2017
Candidates can submit their CVs online beforehand on the Pro&Mer website. The main objective is to facilitate recruitment, says Lise Hermite. "It is a little early to give a number of positions to be filled. In 2017, we had reached 1,200 job offers offered at the show. The goal is to limit the CV barrier. Throughout the fair, job datings are organized between recruiters and candidates. CV workshops with professionals and translators, are held during the fair to help with the writing of them."
