First start-up contest and nautical tourism
The CCI of Morbihan unveiled Thursday, February 15, at the Cité de la Voile - Eric Tabarly, the winners of the 1st edition of the Start-up & Tourisme Nautique contest. Sponsored by Thomas Coville, the event aimed to identify and accompany the best projects and solutions offering an innovative service in nautical tourism. The winner is the SwaveS company thanks to its connected bracelets, followed by Sportihome for its accommodation on the spotlights and Badjo for its habitable rowing boat. EAO wins the Coup de Coeur award for its self-service surfboards.
A bracelet for safe surfing
SwaveS, winner of the Start-up & Tourisme Nautique contest, was founded by Guillaume, windsurfer, Magaly and Armelle, entrepreneurs in the soul. Together, they developed a connected bracelet that allows real-time localization on an application. Offered by a windsurf, kite-surf or dinghies rental company, it allows the professional to know permanently the position of his customers and his equipment. The lessor can inform the yachtsman of the danger and the latter can launch an alert in case of difficulty. The solution reassures both the sailor and the charterer or sailing club.
The Airbnb of the water spots
Arrived 2nd, Sportihome offers sportsmen accommodation near their places of practice. Spot surfing, kitesurfing, kayaking, the reference site of many coastal sites, but is also open to other sports. On a principle close to Airbnb, the hosts present the places and indicate if they are ready to sail with their hosts.
Badjo, on the 3rd step of the podium, develops a habitable rowing boat, to row long distances!
Surfing Velib
EAO received the Coup de Coeur award. Starting from an existing concept for bicycles or cars, the Rennes start-up wants to install self-service terminals for the rental of surfboards on car parks near the best spots. An interesting concept that could dispense roof bars!
