Awards galore
Annual meeting of the French yachting industry, the Nautic concentrates the announcement of many awards. BoatIndustry looks back at these awards and the professionals of the nautical industry who have won.
Nautic Innovation Awards
This is the 1st edition of this competition organized by Nautic Festival SA, the show organizer. It aims to promote innovation within the French nautical industry in 2 categories:
- Product: SEAir is rewarded for its flying RIB with foil, developed on a Zodiac base
- Service: Le Cargo, a website for the sale of nautical equipment and Bénéteau Boat Club, a navigation solution between purchase and rental, tied for first place
Next Technologies' Inflated Wing Sail received a special Start-Up award for its inflatable wing sail.
Nautic Start-Up Day
The French Tech of the Brittany region organized during the Nautic a pitch contest to distinguish the best nautical start-ups. 4 winners were chosen:
- future trophy: Absolute Dreamer for the automated draping of foils and composite parts by a robot
- originality trophy: Inobo for its evolving, transparent and durable kite-surf board
- technology award: Ino-rope for its textile pulley
- coup de c?ur trophy: Carenecolo for its mobile careening area
Electric Boat of the Year
The French Electric Boat Association (AFBE) organized the 1st edition of the Electric Boat of the Year Award. 6 winners were designated in the following categories:
- All categories award : BoatHome of the company BoatHome
- N1 Boat Award: Lagoon 55 from Alizée Electronic
- N2 Boat Award: Sensas from Ruban Bleu
- Award N1 Beach craft: REV Inside from Ceclo Open Boat
- N2 Award for beach equipment: Gliss Speed from GSX Aqualeo
- Concept Award: Net-Zen from Naviwatt
Boat of the year
The magazines of the Larivière group have designated their traditional Sailboat of the Year of Voile Mag and Motor Boat of the Year to the Ofcet 32 SC on the one hand and to the Quicksilver Activ 605 on the other.
Renter of the year
For the 5th consecutive year, Globesailor has chosen the charter company of the year in France and in the French overseas departments and territories. Loacasail in the Mediterranean and Atlantique Location in Brittany are ex-aequo winners and Dream Yacht Caraïbes wins the overseas trophy.
Sailing clubs
The French Sailing Federation took advantage of the Nautic to distinguish sailing clubs. The Société des Régates de Brest was elected best competition club 2017, while the Centre Régional Nautique de Granville won the trophy for Sailing School of the Year 2017.
