Azimut-Benetti takes full control of Fraser

The Azimut-Benetti Group, an Italian heavyweight in the yachting industry, announced on 2 October 2017 the complete acquisition of Fraser, a brokerage, yacht purchasing assistance and charter and crew management company. Its shareholding increased from 83% to 100%. The company, with offices throughout the world, enables the Azimut-Benetti group to offer shipowners a full range of services, from assistance with the design of the boat to its resale, including construction.

The Grand Pavois pays tribute to Bertrand Danglade

The Grand Pavois paid tribute to Bertrand Danglade, creator of the Tofinou and Rhéa Marine, who passed away on Monday 7 August 2017. The hull number 1 produced by the Retais shipyard, a Rhéa 750, was exhibited to the public, at the heart of the rochelais boat show.

MB92 acquires a majority stake in Compositeworks

Compositeworks and Marina Barcelona 92 (MB92) announced on 27 September 2017 that a detailed project to combine their two companies has been submitted to Compositeworks employees. The objective is to reach an agreement before the end of the year. Under the proposed project, MB92 will acquire a majority stake in Compositeworks whose management will remain unchanged. The alliance of Compositeworks and MB92, already world leader in yacht refit, will create a heavyweight in the field of large pleasure craft maintenance.

INO-Rope is moving

Ino-Rope, the specialist in textile pulleys, moves to new premises. The company, born within the Kaïros nursery of Roland Jourdain, had been looking for a new site to take off for a long time. By the end of 2017, it will move into 1500 m² buildings. The premises, renamed Ty Ino, located in the industrial area of Kersalé in Concarneau, will house an 800 m² workshop and 10 and 100 ton traction benches.
