ISO Plaisance standards available online

Marina

The Fédération des Industries Nautiques now offers online access to standards concerning pleasure craft. A need both for ship architects and for shipyards and marine equipment manufacturers.

200 standards available

The Fédération des Industries Nautiques offers its members online access to all the standards concerning pleasure craft. Users will have access to over 200 current boating industry standards, updated in real time to ensure they are using the latest version. Alerts will inform subscribers when new texts are published. ISO design and construction standards will be available in both the original English and French versions. Documents will be downloadable for offline use.

Several subscription formulas

The Fédération des Industries Nautiques offers 2 subscription packages, all reserved for members:

  • a single-user license, limited to one computer at the rate of 320 EUR HT / year.
  • a multi-user license for the largest companies, limited to 3 simultaneous accesses at the rate of 352 EUR HT / year.

This new offer replaces the digital versions of the standards previously provided as CDs by FIN.

Sébastien Milcendeau, standards manager at FIN, explains this change. "The contract we have signed with AFNOR allows us to offer a more modern offer, thanks to online access and real-time updates. The rate is comparable to other European countries and remains attractive for small structures such as design offices or naval architecture firms."
