Boat maintenance training at Greta Bretagne Sud

GRETA Bretagne Sud is looking for trainees for its nautical maintenance training for the 2017 school year. A degree program for a recruiting industry.

Comprehensive training

GRETA Bretagne Sud offers training as a Maintenance and Service Agent in the Nautical Industries. The courses, lasting 8 months, given at Emile James d'Etel high school in Morbihan, allow the award of a CAP diploma, recognized by the National Education. They are aimed at adults undergoing retraining, whether they are jobseekers or employees on individual training leave. The main areas covered are as follows:

    • Structure of a boat
    • Rigging - Sailing
    • Fittings - Safety equipment - Anchoring
    • Motorization (H.B and I.B)

    • Load- Start- Pre/post heating
    • Navigation assistance - Electric windlass
    • Interior lighting - Exterior lighting
    • Stratification (repair and reinforcement)
    • Comfort on board
    • Hydraulic Systems
    • Handling
  • Service Activity Functions
    • Communication
    • Maintenance organization
    • Quality - Sustainable development
    • Prevention of occupational risks

The training is part of the Bretagne Formation plan, financed by the Bretagne region.

Recruitment 2017 in progress

12 places are to be filled for the next session which will begin on 8 September 2017. If the boating sector is still recruiting, GRETA and its partners are witnessing a drop in training applications this year, compared to the same period last year. Notice to motivated trainees!
