Sales still on the rise
The Fountaine Pajot Group published its results for the 2015/16 financial year on Tuesday 20 December 2016. Thanks to a 14.6% increase in sales, the Charentais pleasure catamaran specialist's turnover rose from 61,6 M € in 2014/15 to 70,6 M € for this new financial year.
Good industrial control
Efforts to control costs led to an improvement in the gross operating surplus to 14.7 million euros. Gross operating income rose from 11.8% of sales in 2014/15 to 14.9%, reaching 10.5 M .
Net income reached 6.1 million, or 8.6% of sales.
Employee profit-sharing and profit-sharing also increased by 16%. 1,9 M € will be paid by Fountaine Pajot for this exercise
Strong financial position
Fountaine Pajot has greatly improved its self-financing capacity. The yard now has 9.3 million, 8% more than the previous year. The year 2016 was marked by investments of 7,8 M €, mainly relating to the extension of the Aigrefeuille d'Aunis production site.
2017 : Hiring and investments still on the agenda
Fountaine Pajot believes that its good financial health will enable it to continue its growth in 2017. Investments will continue. Two new buildings will be built in Aigrefeuille.
A new 44-foot motor catamaran and a new 47-foot sailboat will be presented during the year. These new products in the Fountaine Pajot range will bring the dynamics of the group.
In order to keep pace with the planned increase in production, the hiring rate should be maintained at an annual rate of 40 employees.
