Multiplast inaugurates its new buildings

Inauguration of the new Multiplast Hall

Multiplast expands with a new hall and new offices. Enough to accompany the evolution of the high-tech composite specialist.

A good investment

Multiplast and the Carboman group inaugurated the new Grand Sud Hall at the Vannetaise plant on 14 October 2016. This new 1600 m² space houses a composite manufacturing area dedicated to production parts for the aeronautical, space and military markets, as well as offices for all the company's transverse activities. Support functions such as studies, quality, research and development, administration and the training centre, which are also active in yachting and offshore racing, will be housed in these new premises.

The investment for Multiplast is almost 3 million euros.

Transformation in progress

When it was founded in 1981, Multiplast was entirely focused on water sports and racing boats. When he took over the management of the company in 2009, Dominique Dubois launched a strong diversification policy towards aeronautics and space with customers such as Airbus, Thales and Zodiac Aerospace. Since 2013 and the association with Décision SA within the Carboman group, the movement continues, while preserving the tradition of high-performance boats, dear to both entities. For example, Multiplast delivered Groupama's catamaran for the America's Cup in the summer. The new investment, strengthening production capacities for aeronautics while improving R&D and studies in all sectors is one more mark of this evolution.

Dominique Dubois, President of the Carboman Group explains:"After obtaining ISO9001 and EN9100 certifications in 2015, the arrival of a Group General Manager from the aeronautics sector, the acquisition of an autoclave, the inauguration of this dedicated hall puts us in a definitive battle order to provide relevant answers to customers as demanding as Thales, Airbus or the Safran Group. This new tool will really boost our development.
