Promoter of the Morbihan ports
Patrick Dubois began his career as an agent at the port of Arzal in 1978 before heading the ports of La Trinité and Quiberon. Finally director of the Morbihan ports at Sagemor, he had continued in this function within the new structure of the Compagnie des Ports du Morbihan. Patrick Dubois participated in the development of the port management company set up by the Morbihan department. It now has 13 marinas.
Over the course of his career, Patrick Dubois has taken many original and now established initiatives such as the Morbihan Passport or the Escales Passport, allowing easy access to stopovers in exchange for making his empty berth available in his home port. It had also invested in supporting dry ports. All its initiatives were aimed at optimising the port offer for better access for all to pleasure boating.
Regional involvement
As a figure of the marinas, he was naturally led to assume functions at regional level, as president of the Association of marinas of Brittany from 2011 to 2014.
He also became the third deputy of Ile-aux-Moines, his home, in 2014.
The sportsman he was, a former member of Baron Bic's French crew in the America's Cup, was taken by disease on 10 October 2016.
