Updated May 20 €18 : The sailmaker has found a buyer and is no longer on sale
Jacana is an artisan sailmaker who produces new sails, makes rigging and also takes care of the saddlery. A shade and decoration veil activity has also recently been set up.
Although Jacana is now associated with the Parasailor spinnaker brand, only the sailmaking part is for sale (not the import part of the Parasailor). The buyer can become if he wishes it agent of this spinnaker for all the south of France.
On the building side, the sailmaker is installed in a 150 m2 premises with a quarterly rent of 1500 € (6000 € net/year - which is exceptionally low for the region). The floor is 12 x 4.50 m above ground with 5 station machines and 3 additional machines to exchange).
The rigging part is carried out in a fully equipped 20 € m long workshop with a storage capacity of around 10 m3. It includes press, bender and crimper. In addition, an equipped workshop trailer allows interventions on the ports. A Kangoo vehicle in excellent condition marked with the company name is included in the sale.
For the staff, the sailmaker has its own new accommodation equipped with reversible air conditioning to accommodate an employee (or a couple) during the season.
In financial terms, the current stock is at its minimum of around 25 000 €. The business is composed of 300 customers and 20 €00 prospects. It's difficult to talk about turnover, because for the last few years, the sailmaker has only been working six months a year and has not participated in any trade shows in 20 €15 and 20 €16.
The name"JACANA" which signs the identity and a presence of 40 years in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez will be reusable inside a new commercial name composed around it.
The price of the whole is 190 € K? net seller (Out of stock: 170 € K?. Stock: 20 € K?). A small price which is explained by an activity in sleep which it is necessary to relaunch.
