Refocusing on new properties and withdrawing from brokerage
The Catana group announces a turnover of ?10.7 million for the first half of 2015/2016. While overall sales were down on the previous year, sales of new boats increased sharply. This evolution is a reflection of the group's strategy, which is gradually withdrawing from brokerage in favour of the development of new construction. It is a question here of accompanying the evolution of the catamaran market, in rapid growth, where the brokerage loses in profitability in a context of economic recovery.
Ramping up the Bali range
Launched two years ago, the Bali catamaran range already exceeds ?15 million over the last financial year. The high level of orders at the winter and autumn trade fairs, particularly among rental companies, has already filled the production slots of the year and for part of the following year. Good results can be expected in the second half of the year, during which two thirds of Bali's invoicing will be concentrated. The range should represent 40% of new boats this year.
Results beyond expectations
The very high production rate enabled the target productivity to be reached less than a year and a half after the launch of the Bali ranges. The level of orders enabled the group to exceed the initial objectives of its growth plan. The arrival of the Catana 53 in the summer should reinforce this dynamic
