A new stage of development
Created in 2011 in Lorient by Antoine Martineau and Yannick Audren, the SO Sailerie was initially developed as an e-sailerie service, selling online and relying on a network of dealers throughout France. With the local market taking an important part, a new stage has passed this year with the opening of a model sailmaking plant in Lorient. The former premises on rue Gilles Gahinet had become too small and she moved into a new building on rue Ingénieur Verrière, near the submarine base and the heart of nautical activity in Lorient, as close as possible to her customers.
A well-equipped room for sail repair and upholstery manufacturing
The new floor extends over 150 m². It is equipped with three latest generation sewing machines. This new high-performance tool will enable master sailmakers to repair their customers' jibs, mainsails or spinnakers on site, for racing or cruising. Specialized also in nautical saddlery, they will be able to realize on measure your covers, hoods, covers, biminis and cushions or the sails of shade to benefit from your coffee in the shade this summer.
A showcase
The new sailmaker also has a 60 m² showroom to present all the company's products. The two employees working on the Lorient floor will also be able to pass on the know-how of the SO Sail"model sailmaking" to dealers.
