Pascal Bénard Passionate sailor, adept at coastal navigation

Pascal Bénard spent his career with the Agence Départementale du Finistère, Nautism in Finistère the department has entrusted the management of the nautical sector around three themes: individual and collective nautical practice, industry and pleasure boating. These missions consist in managing the developments related to boating, both from an industrial point of view (saddleries, sailmakers, equipment manufacturers) and from a yachting point of view (animation of the network of marinas in Finistère, in connection with the network of marinas in Brittany). Thereafter, he became r esponsible for the development department from Finistère360 Agency.

This "happy boater" also practices the sea from a personal point of view since he owns a First 305 he has been sailing for 33 years. He also founded the association Cabotage in Brittany to accompany private individuals as well as professionals (owners' associations) on flotilla trips lasting several days in sailing basins that they appreciate: Molène, the Four Channel, the Chausey archipelago, the Mont-Saint-Michel Bay� The idea is to facilitate access to navigation and to reassure boaters by guiding them throughout the cruise.

Thanks to his knowledge of sailing basins, Pascal likes to share cruising ideas with readers to encourage boaters to sail, to get out of their comfort zone by exploring areas they are not used to.
